The Nine Clinic

Private Men's Health Services in London

Men tend to arrive at a doctor’s surgery late, usually when a problem has become impossible to work around. Our private men’s health services in London are designed to bring that moment forward, through Well Man checks, cardiovascular risk assessment, prostate health review and hormone testing at our Harley Street and Sloane Square clinics.

A Well Man check is a structured health assessment for men, combining a full consultation, clinical examination and a set of investigations matched to your age and risk profile. The purpose is early insight and clear guidance, not a list of numbers to worry about.

What a Well Man Check Covers

Cardiovascular health is usually the starting point. We assess blood pressure, cholesterol and lipid profile, blood sugar and diabetes risk, weight and waist measurement, and family history, then explain what your combined risk actually means and what would move it.

Prostate health is reviewed from around the age of forty, or earlier where there is a family history. This includes a discussion of symptoms, PSA testing where appropriate and a clear explanation of what a raised result does and does not mean. PSA is a blood marker that can be elevated for several reasons, not all of them serious, and interpreting it properly matters more than simply ordering it.

Hormone testing covers testosterone and thyroid function, which are common and often overlooked causes of fatigue, low mood, reduced libido and loss of muscle mass. Blood work is arranged through our blood tests and diagnostic scans service.

We also cover sleep, alcohol, stress and the things men rarely raise unprompted. Where mood or burnout is part of the picture, our mental wellbeing support is available without any need to book a separate referral elsewhere.

Practical Care for Working Men

Appointments are unhurried but efficient, and can be booked early or late in the working day. Where an in-person visit is difficult, follow-ups and results discussions can be handled by virtual consultation. Men who want a more comprehensive assessment may prefer a full preventative health screening, and those needing regular oversight can look at our GP membership packages. Costs are listed on our services and fees page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a Well Man check include?

A Well Man check includes a full consultation and medical history, clinical examination, cardiovascular risk assessment, blood tests covering cholesterol, blood sugar, liver, kidney and thyroid function, and prostate and hormone review where appropriate for your age.

At what age should men start having health checks?

Many men benefit from a baseline assessment from their thirties, particularly where there is a family history of heart disease, diabetes or prostate problems. From forty onwards, a regular check every one to two years is sensible.

Should I have a PSA test?

That depends on your age, symptoms and family history. Your doctor will discuss the benefits and limitations of PSA testing with you before ordering it, so the result can be interpreted in context.

Can you investigate fatigue and low energy?

Yes. Persistent fatigue is commonly linked to thyroid function, testosterone, iron levels, sleep quality or stress. A men’s health assessment tests for the physical causes and addresses the lifestyle ones.
