The Nine Clinic

Private Health Screening in London

Most serious conditions announce themselves quietly, long before they cause symptoms. Private health screening in London at The Nine Clinic is built around that fact. Rather than waiting for something to go wrong, we assess where your health actually stands and set out a plan to keep it moving in the right direction.

A health screening is a structured assessment of your physical health, combining a detailed consultation, clinical examination and a set of investigations chosen for you rather than pulled from a standard package. What we test depends on your age, family history, lifestyle and what you want the next decade to look like.

What a Screening Appointment Involves

Your appointment begins with a conversation. Your doctor takes a full medical and family history, discusses your lifestyle honestly and asks what you are actually worried about, because that question is often the most useful one.

From there we carry out a clinical examination and arrange the relevant investigations. These commonly include cardiovascular assessment, blood pressure, cholesterol and metabolic markers, liver, kidney and thyroid function, diabetes risk, vitamin and iron status and, where indicated, imaging. Tests are arranged through our blood tests and diagnostic scans service.

You then receive a written report and a follow-up consultation where the results are explained properly. This is not a spreadsheet emailed to you with a red flag on line forty. Your doctor talks you through what each finding means and what, if anything, needs acting on.

Bespoke Wellbeing Plans

The value of screening is what happens afterwards. We build a wellbeing plan with you, based on what the results showed and what you are trying to achieve, whether that is managing an existing condition, improving cardiovascular fitness, addressing fatigue or simply staying well for longer.

Plans often bring in other parts of the practice, such as our women’s health and men’s health services, or mental wellbeing support where stress or sleep is part of the picture. Patients who want ongoing oversight rather than an annual visit may prefer one of our GP membership packages. Screening options and costs are set out on our services and fees page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a private health screening?

A screening includes a detailed consultation and medical history, a clinical examination, blood and other investigations appropriate to your age and risk profile, and a follow-up appointment to discuss the written report with your doctor.

How often should I have a health screening?

For most healthy adults, every one to two years is reasonable. If you have a specific risk factor or an existing condition, your doctor may recommend a shorter interval and will tell you why.

Can I have a screening if I feel completely well?

Yes, and that is usually the best time to have one. Screening is designed to detect changes before they produce symptoms, which is when they are most treatable.

Do you offer screening for couples or families?

Yes. Appointments can be arranged together at either clinic, with each person assessed individually and given their own report and plan.
